Receiving support through the Qantel Conference Server

You must be running NetMeeting 3.01 in order to access the conference room properly.  Netmeeting 2.11 will not work. On some operating systems, you will need to select 'Enable Sharing' from the tools menu as well; otherwise the sharing button described below will be disabled.

To receive support through the conference server a support meeting must first be arranged with a Qantel support representative. The support person will then send a link to a room on the conference server. If you follow the link with Internet Explorer, a page that looks something like the image below. You will notice a list of users in the conference on the web page.

 Below that list is a button with an icon of a hand.

 If you click on that icon a dialog titled 'Sharing' will appear. The dialog should resemble the image below. You will need to

1. select 'Desktop' in the program list
2. click on the 'Share' button
3. click the 'Allow Control' button
4. check the 'Automatically accept requests for control'
