Suggested QID Cables or Adaptors

The following article describes the cable type that can be used with the various serial port types available on PCs to connect the Serial Mini QID (Qantel Part #52497-002). The serial mini contains an irregular shaped blue plastic assembly ( 2 inches x 2.4 inches with RS-232, DTE, 25 Pin male Connecto) at one end that is required for proper operation.

Most Serial Interfaces follow the EIA/TIA standards listed in the table below, However, if the serial interface on your system is not standard, you will have to build a custom cable.
